FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2009

The first day of school came so fast. It always does. We were ready and all excited. Drake has Mrs. Lawrence/Mrs. Nelson, Sierra has Mrs Buchanan, and Makenzie has Mrs. Wilson. We had a great morning and got them off to school. Drake rode the bus and we took the girls. It is always harder for me when they hit first grade because they are gone all day long. I started to get all teary eyed but luckily someone took my mind off it when they came to talk to me. They loved there first day and Makenzie said "Mom, it is just the same as kindergarten it isn' any longer! I had so much fun!" I hope it lasts all year!!

Sawyer's ALMOST Driving

We went school shopping with Sawyer and Drake. Sawyer was the big driver in the super saturn and we had some good laughs at his expense. He did great job considering how much he is able to drive the stick shift, no power steering, SUPER Saturn. I think Drake and I laughed even more sitting in the back seat than Steve and Sawyer did in the front. Drake chose to go to PF Changs for lunch and we enjoyed so good Chinese food. We had a lot of fun in a short amount of time and got most things accomplished before we had to rush back for football. Thank you for the safe trip Sawyer and Drake thank you for the good laughs. You are both great kids!

Hunting Opening Weekend

We had a great time camping on Beaver mountain with our family and friends. The kids were excited to see there cousins and spend some time with them. The kids rode the 4-wheelers and rhino until the roads just couldn't take it any more. We love dirty little faces and bodies and enjoyed meeting some new friends, making smores, camp fires all day long, bb guns, great food, rescuing lost hikers, and listening to the tall tales of hunting. Good Memories!!

California 2009

CALIFORNIA PART ONE
We always go to a MLB game. This year the girls opted out so the boys went to watch the BRAVES and the DODGERS. They had great seats behind the BRAVES dugout and enjoyed an overtime game with a home run by the BRAVES in the 10th or 11th inning. They girls and I went shopping to THE GROVE. It is an outdoor mall. All the stores were very expensive but the main reason we wanted to go was to go the the AMERICAN GIRL doll store. There are only 3 in the country. We had a lot of fun LOOKING and LOOKING at all the different outfits and dolls. We were there for 1 1/2 hours. The girls each got an outfit for their dolls and we headed out to eat and school shop. We discovered a ROSS across the street and headed there and got the girls school shopping done. The next day was the BEACH and USS MIDWAY. We loved looking at all the airplanes and listening to stories about them. Then we headed back to relax on the beach. Steve loves to get the kids out boogie boarding and I just love to sit and watch.

CALIFORNIA PART TWO
The next day we went to SEA WORLD from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. It was fun and we only missed out on a couple things.
HIGHLIGHTS: feeding dolphins, getting soaked in the soak zone, water cannons Tyson shot to get us even more wet on shipwreck rapids, good food, and night light shows.
We had a great time and love SEA WORLD!!
The next day we headed to the BEACH for the day and enjoyed another beautiful day, boogie boarding, making sand castles, skim boarding, making sand chairs, and the seagulls stealing our food out of our backpack(ck out the picture). The thing that the kids kept wanting to do was to go swimming at the hotel. Go figure, you go to CA and the beach and they want to swim in the pool. So we headed back to the hotel POOL and went swimming before heading home. It was a great family vacation!!

Sierra's Baptism

We are so proud of you Sierra and the decision you made to be baptized. You have so many people who love and support you. They will always be there for you but most importantly your Heavenly Father will be there for you and the Holy Ghost will be your companion. Always remember that. We love you and are so proud of you. We had a wonderful weekend with friends and family. Thank you all for coming and supporting Sierra and our family at this very special time. We have such wonderful extended family. We had a lot of fun. Some of the fun things were: zoo in Moapa, the fun slide into the pool, rock band, reservoir swim, neighborhood motels, and swimming at the Adams pool. Thank you to those who helped this wonderful weekend happen.

Grandparents Week

Well after our family reunion my parents kept all the kids that are in school and had them stay for the week. They have a few days that they take all the grandkids that went to school that year and do some fun things with them. This year they went bowling, ski diving, and hiking. They also went to the Hill Air Force Museum and to the carnival at the county fair. They also went to there favorite place to eat CHUCKARAMA!! The kids had a lot of fun and they brought them home for Sierra's baptism and so we didn't even have to make an extra trip at all. Thanks Dad and Mom for having fun with the kids and for being a great example. We love you!!!

Moapa ZOO

I haven't made it there but the kids went with Shelley for part of Shaylee's birthday party. They had a great time and loved it. It is a hands on Zoo so they really get to touch and hold things. The held an otter, pet a porqupine, kangoroos, monkeys, all kinds of fun animals. Maybe one day I'll get there. Thanks Shelley for taking the kids they had a blast!!

Draper Reunion 2009

We had a great time camping with the family above the Alta ski resort. Dave and Tracie did an awesome job planning this get together and we had a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed camping in a tent even though Steve and I stayed up one night trying to keep Sawyer dry and then hiding ourselves from the dripping rain. We enjoyed the fire building, cart making and eating contest, and especially the dutch oven cook off. We thought for sure that we would be the winners on the cart contest with Sawyer helping to build but Steve and I couldn't do it. I'm a slow eater I guess. Lots of laughs and lots of great memories. The family pictures turned out great! Thanks Amy and Angie.

Primary Pioneer Activity

We had a great pioneer primary water activity. We had 3 stations and told a little story about the pioneers and related it to the activity. We had a great turnout and everyone seemed to have lot of fun!!

Sierra's 8th Birthday

I can't believe she is 8!!! She has been so excited to turn eight and has been planning her baptism for a while. Sierra is so sweet and such a caring, loving young girl. She always wants to help, loves babies, loves responsibility, works hard, and loves to play. She has been a spit fire since the day she was born and has always had a set of lungs on her and showed her emotions well. We love her so much and love her sweet notes and not so sweet notes that helps her to express her feelings. What a sweety!! Happy Birthday Sierra!!

She wanted to have a party and I never plan until the minute before. We did phone call invitations and had a great time. I know maybe it is just that I'm lazy. We all had a great time though. It was overcast and even rained before, during and after the party. We love rain and enjoyed it. They played water volleyball, water high jump, bobbed for apples, ate, and played and played. We had a great time. She has a wonderful group of friends!!
