Drake's 5th grade Field Trip

Drake invited me to go on their 5th grade field trip. We had a fun time going to see the Las Vegas Philharmonic orchestra. They did a wonderful job keeping the kids entertained, teaching them about music and actually how much we use it. They played the themes to Star Wars, Harry Potter and more. Lots of fun!! Thanks for still loving me Drake and for wanting your old mom to come with you and hang with your friends even though you ditched me on the bus.

NEW YORK & CONNECTICUT

My sisters, parents, and I went to New York to help Dave and Tracie move to their new home in Connecticut. We were trying to surprise Tracie but you know how surprises go. We had a great time getting to play with Taylor, Drew, and Lana they are growing so fast. Friday and Saturday we had fun cleaning, packing, unpacking, organizing (ha, ha), going to dinner, shopping, and staying up late talking. Then Sunday we went to their new ward which was very excited to have new members. Then we headed to New York to do a little site seeing. The weather did not cooperate though and it rained the whole time. We did make some quick visits to see the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, Grand Central Station, do some shopping on Canal Street, and have some fun on the subway system. We had a great time hanging out reminiscing about the good old days and about the crazy days of today! Thanks for the fun memories and for having us in your home. It is beautiful and we can't wait to come and visit again. Thank you to Steve for holding the fort down and those others who helped out with the kiddos. Love ya!!

New Years Eve 09

Party at the Johnsons house!! Band Hero, pool, jumping off stairs, games, dancing, food and more. We had a great time parting. Band hero was hilarious. They had everyone singing and dancing including Grandma Lee. It was great even though we didn't quite make it until midnight but we were close. Thanks for a wonderful party and good memories.

Skiing at Deer Valley

We had a great time taking the 3 younger kids to Deer Valley. Drake went snowboarding with Kace and Uncle Duff the day before and then went rabbit hunting they day we took the other kids. He had lot of fun doing both. I think his favorite was rabbit hunting. The kids all did great for their first time this year and their second time ever. Sierra went up with Aunt Lesa and Stevie first. It took her a minute but then she caught right on. Makenzie and Tyson we took a few times on a little hill with magic carpet. The edgie wedgie helped both of them a lot and they were both flying down the hill and going down the candy land course and over jumps. Uncle Steve and Jake took Tyson down the race track and he loved it. Thanks to Steve, Lesa, Stevie, and Jake for helping us out. We love you. We can't wait to go skiing again. I can't figure out how to get my pictures and videos off my phone because I didn't carry the camera when we had Tyson and Makenzie skiing. I will try and figure that one out.

Meet MJ and Cadillac

Drake was so excited to get his pigs this year. He went to a pig auction here in the valley and he chose the pig he wanted and worked hard to get it. MJ(pink) was his first choice and Cadillac(striped) was his other choice. He had a great time and was excited to get started again. He has been walking them and getting to know them. The fun is just beginning.

Fun at Red Rock

We had a great time at red rock with the Staheli Clan playing in the sand, hiking, and trying to fit 19 people on a rhino, 4-wheeler, and small broken 4-wheeler. It was great fun. The kids love to drive and always enjoy going there.

Christmas 09

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We had all of Steve's family here for Christmas and really enjoyed that. We spent most of our time over at G & G Staheli's with them and so after they left Sunday the kids really had fun with their stuff at home. The kids were very patient waiting for Dad until 7:15. They watched a movie and we read a book. I can't believe that it has already been a month since Christmas. We love the Christmas season!!

Sierra's 1st Barrel Race

Grandpa got a new horse named Classy and the kids absolutely love her. She is great at barrels. We took Sierra, Shaylee and Brighton up to their first barrel race. They had a great time and Sierra is already about 5 times faster than this video and looks forward to the next one.

Makenzie's December Adventures

Makenzie lost her first tooth!! The bottom left two pictures are the first time we attempted to pull it out. Notice the sad look after it hurt a little. Then about a week later it was so loose that it laid straight out flat middle picture. She had to wait for dad to pull it out and so after church dad got it out. Middle pict in green shirt, bottom then top are the pictures that day. Now she has 3 more loose teeth.

Makenzie's 1st grade class went on a field trip to the Magical Forest. We had a lot of fun. She did not make me ride the bus and Tyson was able to come too. We had a lot of fun on the slide, merry-go-round, the train ride and seeing Santa. After all that fun we had a nice lunch at the park and then did some last minute shopping and headed home. Mrs. Wilson's class is awesome!!

Makenzie also had a wonderful Christmas program. She sang beautifully and we even got to sing a long with them for a few songs. She also had a gymnastics program. She is doing very well at gymnastics and loves it!!

Fun in the SNOW

We had a great time visiting all those that live in the SNOW. Grandpa got exhausted by pulling the kids at least 3 times a day on the 4-wheeler around the house and up the street. He fit everyone on and no one was hurt too bad. Uncle Brady did relieve him for one round but the rest was on him. We loved to sit in the warm house and watch them and laugh, and laugh, because one would fall off and because he had four in the sleds behind he didn't notice for awhile. We always have to go ice skating. The kids love it and Makenzie was counting how many times she fell (most on purpose) but I think she got up to 67 or something. We also went sledding at a park by Aunt Amy's house. That was a lot of fun too. WE love to play in the snow and then come home to the warm weather.
