Arizona College Trip
We took Sawyer down to ASU to check it out and have a tour of the campus. Steve has some fun pictures on his phone I need to post to this while we were on campus. After the tour we went to a few spring training MLB games. We had a great time and really enjoyed having great seats and had some great laughs at one of the umpires and fans discussions. Sawyer did really like the school but the cost was a little too much to handle.

Drake's 12th Birthday
I can't believe that Drake is 12 years old. He is a special part of our family and is an exceptional young man. He received the Aaronic priesthood February 20th. Steve set him apart and gave a wonderful blessing along with Grandpa "D", Grandpa Staheli, Sawyer, Bishop Waite, and Brother Kynaston. We are so proud of you Drake and know you will be a great priesthood holder. Drake also took a couple of friends to St. George and went to Fiesta Fun. We had a great time!

Piggies
Meet Daisy (Sierra's black), Chops (Drake's black/pink), and Sizzle (Pink). Time for pigs again!! Steve, Drake, Sierra, and the Widdisons made the trip to California to pick up pigs this year! They made a day trip and had fun picking out their own pigs. Now they are busy feeding, walking, and weighing to make sure that everything will be just right for the fair.
Brianhead Ski Trip 2011
We had a wonderful time with our great friends the Hymas' and the Evans'. Becky got it all planned and got a great condo that we could just ski to the lift. Sierra learned to snowboard this time too with the help of her awesome dad! She did great and by the end of the day was totally exhausted but had it down. Tyson and Makenzie just flew down the hill wanting to race all the way down making it hard to keep up. Tyson had a few bad wrecks of the jumps but other than that everyone had a great time. Drake is improving a lot snowboarding and getting his confidence. We missed Sawyer. He had a date planned so chose the date over us:0. Steve and I had wonderful time. Steve caught some big air and enjoyed showing the boys what real men can do:) Steve was being a true scout and becoming prepared for his upcoming snow cave camp out and decided to practice digging one and sleeping in it too. Zach and Drake helped dig but Steve was the only one brave enough to sleep out. That is my husband for ya! We had fun playing games, watching football, watching the boys try to build bridges on their phones, sharing stories, eating good food, and relaxing.

Our Version of Baby Mine

Babe of mine close your eyes.
Babe of mine don't you cry.
Lay your head close to my heart
Never to part, Baby of Mine.
Ok, so I heard this lullaby on Dumbo when Drake was little but didn't really know the words exactly. I recently heard the song and it is not quite right, but we like it and it is a nightly request by everyone still. Nothing like your own version, right. Now I can't listen to the real one because it is wrong:).

Tyson Lost His First Tooth
Girl's Volleyball

Sierra and Makenzie have been playing volleyball. Makenzie's age group did clinic's for 6 weeks. She had a lot of fun and enjoys playing but mostly just playing around with her friends there. Sierra played on a team. Her age group had 4 teams and the played best out of three. She had a great time and improved a lot. Her last game she scored a lot of points and her serve was great. She also had some great passes. She had a lot of fun girls on her team. Great job girls!!

Christmas 2010
We had a wonderful Christmas as always. We got together with the Applegates Christmas Eve and had dinner, visited and went caroling. Umm I forgot the camera that night too!! It was nice to have Sawyer there to help us sing and enjoyed a big group this year. He got to open some of his presents a day early and i only have video of that. After the caroling we read the Christmas story and opened presents from brothers and sisters. Steve had to work Christmas day so the kids decided that 2:30 was a good time to wake up even thought we settled on 4:00. We ended up getting up at 3:30 and had a great time opening presents and hanging with Dad before he left for work. Grandma and Grandpa even made it over early in the morning:). We had a delicious Christmas dinner at Grandma's too. What a wonderful season full of giving, stressing, enjoying family and friends, and as always trying to somehow remember and instill in the children the true meaning of Christmas.
