Sierra's Field Trip

Sierra's 3rd grade class went on a field trip to Anderson Dairy and Las Vegas Natural History Museum. I was able to be one of the lucky chaperons and Sierra had to have me ride the bus. It was so much fun:).
We had a wonderful time at the dairy and even was served ice cream.

The museum was fun. They had different rooms for all differents kinds of animals. They had live sharks even. I didn't even know it was there so we will have to go again. Thanks for inviting me on your fun trip Sierra.

Drake's AMERICA Program

The 5th grade did a program about America. It was very good and inspirational. They sang, played the recorder, and Drake presented the flag. They did a lot of fun songs but this was one of our favorites.

Pirates beat Fernley and head to State Finals

AWESOME GAME!! STATE HERE WE COME!

Veteran's Day Parade

We love the Veteran's Day Parade. It gives us a chance to explain what Veteran's Day is and to show our respect and love for those that serve our country and their families that sacrifice time away from loved ones. We loves all those who have fought and are fighting for our freedom. THANK YOU VETERANS!! Sawyer was in the marching band and I caught him sleep walking. Drake rode his bike with the Boy Scouts of America and was excited to throw candy. The rest of us enjoyed the parade with Shelley and the kids and some friends that were there too.

School Keepsakes

In our family we hang up all the keepsakes on the door in the kitchen and then when it is full we take a picture and the kids are allowed to choose 2 things to keep. A friend gave me the idea and it has worked great. Here are Makenzie's projects for the past month or so. She is loving school and loves to hang up all her school stuff.

Tyson is also loving school and especially loves taking the treat box. Tyson does have a little hard time throwing away his stuff. I have had to have him show me a few things he wants to keep and then wait a little when he is not noticing and toss them. He had a great Halloween party which I didn't get in the Halloween blog so here is a picture of that too. He is the awesome Spiderman!!

OH Yeah! Forgot to Blog the BYU vs. UNLV game

We had a great time at the game watching Uncle Shane play and BYU killing UNLV. Drake Tyson, and Garrett got to come and the girls stayed home with the Staheli cousins that were down for Baby Wesley's blessing. We ended up having front row seats the last part of the game because all the UNLV fans were leaving and we were right behind the BYU team. Aunt Carrie, Grandpa and Grandma were all down too. We had a great time and love to watch football. The boys were so excited to wait for Uncle Shane to come out and also to see all the players and even meet a few of the coaches.

Halloween 09

We had a great time at all the Halloween festivities. We started off with the school parties on Thursday and the parade. Then on Saturday we had a potluck for the neighborhood at the Evans home and then the kids went around the neighborhood. Then we headed up to the church to set up for the trunk or treat. The kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed running around wild, playing the games, and helping me with a game. Then off to Grandpa's to celebrate his birthday. Then headed to Shelley's to visit them. Long night, tired and full of junk.

Sawyer Football 09

Well the Pirates are into the playoffs. The last game we played the Bulldogs for our HOMECOMING and ended up winning I think 52 - 0 . Go Pirates!! It was a fun game!! Sawyer is having a good time and looks forward to playing for the state championship game in a few weeks. At the end of each game the team sings the fight song in front of the stands so that is a few of those pictures.

Hunting Season

We had a successfull hunting season! Steve went on a few elk hunts with some friends to help them out. One was in Utah on the Blouder Mtn. The other one was in Nevada. He loves to hunt and had a great time with his friends. We were able to be on the successfull hunt with Carrie and Grandpa D in Utah. Drake was excited because he was there for both of those. Amy even made Ckn noodle soup and mashed potatoes for the traditional hunt at grandmas. Merrill and Steve were also both successfull in Utah too. They both got 4 pts and had a good time. The kids had crazy hair day the day Steve got his so that is why their hair is crazy.
