High School Musical

We went to see the High School Musical play at the Tuachan. We went with the Goodrich's and the Evans' clans. We went to eat at the Pizza Factory first. I craved the salad bar and pizza all day. It really hit the spot and the bread sticks with the cinnamon dip and the end was perfect. The play was great!! They really did a wonderful job and the kids loved it even though after each scene they would say "Is it over now?". We had a lot of laughs and the kids enjoyed getting autographs and pictures after. Great times!!

Cousins Camp

Drake and Sierra got to stay up to Heber for cousins camp. They had a great time and talked Grandpa and Grandma into hiking Timpanoges again and taking them to the Hogle Zoo. They had a wonderful time and always come home so excited to tell us all about what they did. They also went the best food place according to them and Grandpa, ChuckaRama. I think Grandpa has brainwashed them. Then they surprised Uncle Steve at work and sang him Happy Birthday. They also went to Wall E and Grandpa of course fell asleep. They wore them out. Thank you G & G for the great time and all the love you show the kids. They look forward to this each year.

Kassidy's Baptism

We are so proud of our niece Kassidy for making the decision to be baptized. She is such a cute girl and is a great example to all of us. She is always fun to be around and make us all laugh. They had a luncheon after and of course all the guys started bouncing kids on the tramp. They had them all flying. I failed to get a picture of Kassidy looking so beautiful in her white dress but here a few pictures of the party after. Thanks for being such a great cousin and niece. Congratulations Kassidy on being baptized and receiving the Holy Ghost. It is a very special companion that you can always have with you. Just remember to always pray, read your scriptures and that Heavenly Father loves you and knows you!! We love you!!

Happy Birthday America!!

We had a lot of fun celebrating the 4th of July in Heber. Kassidy's baptism was the same weekend so we lucked out and had a great time. We did miss Steve though because he had to work and couldn't get it off. A lot of the family was willing to give up tickets to the Stadium of Fire to see Miley Cyrus and the Blue Man Group so that the kids and I could go too!! Thanks Dave, Tracie, Grandma Lee, Dad and Mom you are all awesome!! We had a wonderful barbecue at Dad and Mom's to celebrate the 4th and Tracie and Steve's Birthday. It was so nice to see everyone again. Then we headed to the Stadium of Fire. The boys liked the Blue Man Group the best and the girls of course liked Miley Cyrus but were a little disappointed she didn't turn into Hannah Montana. I love the 4th of July and I cry every time they show the troops and their families. I am so thankful to them and their sacrifices to keep us free. We live in a wonderful country and are so blessed to have the freedoms we enjoy. We Love America!!

All-Star Games 2008

We had a lot of fun watching Drake play baseball a little bit longer. He really loves the game and is good at it. He was chosen to be on the All-Star team his first year playing in the minors and Steve was chosen to be the coach with his friend and rival John Hymas and also Mike Cope. They had a great time and looked sharp and hot very hot in the black uniforms. Temps were about 113 that week so it was hot!! They played 4 games and didn't end up winning but should have won 2 games. They have a lot of talent considering those from Vegas play year round and have been playing together for few years. Drake played short-stop, 2nd and pitched a few times. He did very well and we had quite a few people compliment him on his talent. The kids all had fun running around buying snacks and more snacks even though mom packed the whole kitchen. Your awesome Drake and great coaching DAD!!

Father's Day

Wow!! I am so blessed to be surrounded by such great men and examples to me and my family!! I'm am writing this a little late but better late than never.
Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband. He is the best dad and never tires. He is going constantly. He loves to play and have fun with the kids. He is very involved in their lives and makes sure they know that he loves them. He makes our life so easy by working hard and giving us all everything we could ever dream of. Thank you for being the great dad you are!! WE LOVE YOU!!

My Dad: How blessed I have been to have a dad like mine. You know, everyday I realize more and more how blessed I truly am. You taught me how to work, to be of service, to be dedicated, and many more things. Thanks dad for being a great dad and a great grandpa. It is hard living so far away but you make it easier by being so supportive and always being their when we need you. We all love you!!

My Father-in-law: Thank you for raising such a wonderful son!! I really appreciate all you do for us and for being such a great grandpa!! It is nice to be so close to you so that my kids can know what it is like growing up close grandparents. I realize that not many kids get to do that especially with a grandpa like you. We love you!!

Camping at Tropic

We had a wonderful time camping by Tropic reservoir. The Wilden's came with their two kids, G & G, Shane, Wendy and their kids came too!!

Highlights were: Setting up camp twice, getting dizzy watching the kids go round and round in circles on the 4-wheelers, watching the skits that the girls performed, jumping off the wall, playing in the reservoir, fishing, looking for deer and elk, getting yelled at by the camp host, good food, smores and camp fires.

We had a great time with G & G and are so glad that they come camping with us and let us ride their 4-wheelers. The kids were so excited to see their cousins and could not wait for Grandma to bring them. It was fun to just relax and enjoy life. Thanks for such a great time everyone and a special thanks to Steve for all the great cooking.

FUN AT THE LAKE

We were so excited to go to the lake this year!! The kids were finally out of school and we headed out. The Rowley's & Reese's (our neighbors) were heading out too! We caught up to them at the marina. They couldn't get their boat started. So we shuttled everyone to the beach and had a great time as you can tell. It was close to evening and we packed up and had one load in and our boat wouldn't start. Well, I ran a few coves over while they called the marina. The group I found sent a guy over to help us out but that didn't work so he had to tow all 19 of us in and take about 5 of his group in. It was crazy. We had a great time and the kids loved it they played and played. Drake and the boys even caught a few catfish. Now Steve is a boat mechanic too!! He is putting a new motor in because something??? He'll have to finish that part of the story. Thanks to Bill McConnell for helping us out. It is almost done and we hope to be back to the lake soon!

MUG SHOTS!!

Well dad was so nice and got out the sidewalk paint that mom had bought one day while mom was at work and Tyson and Makenzie got a little carried away with it a decided to put their art on the house. Dad was not very happy and took some mug shots of them by their graffitii. It came off easily but it was the principal behind it all. They had their brushes and scrubbed it off. They said mom, mom look it comes off!! What artists but lets keep it to the sidewalk next time if their is one.

RECITALS

Drake and Sierra have both just recently had their recitals. Drake has been taking guitar for about 3 yrs now. He enjoys learning but hates practicing but I think that is just about everyone. He did a great job!! Sierra has been taking piano for about 1 1/2 years now. She loves it and rarely complains about practice. We are hoping that keeps happening. This was her first recital because we were gone the last one. She did a great job and thought it was so fun!! Keep up the great work kidos!!
