He also got to participate is a merit badge pow wow. His new scout leader said he was very impressed with Drake and his hard work. His was the only one in his group to get all his stuff done, signed and turned in. Good Work!!

Drake is 11!!!

WOW!! We have a tween. Drake is now 11 and I can hardly believe it. He had a wonderful birthday. He got a fast remote control car and took some friends to play laser tag in St. George. They played and played and then played some more. I wasn't as good as I thought I was most the boys smoked me I think. Drake is a responsible young man. He has had a lot on his shoulders this year and is constantly going and we are unsure of what to do to slow it down. He loves to do everything and excels at it. Drake you are very special to our family and we are so thankful you are here to tease and torment us. We LOVE You!!

Basketball 2010

Drake and Sierra played basketball this year. They had a good time playing. They split up the girls and boys and it works out so much better. Sierra actually shot the ball this season.

Photo Shoot

Sierra wanted to try her hand at photography while her cousins were here. They spent hours having fun with the camera. Thank heavens for digital. I did a little cropping to them too. They had a lot of fun! There are a few other pictures of some fun we were having getting on each others shoulders. The girls didn't like it so much though.

Valentie's Day Parties

The last party of the year (for room mom's anyway)!! The kids had a great time at all their parties. I was over Drake's class and at last minute he decided to ditch and go hunting with dad. So I got it going and ditched too and went to Sierra and Makenzie's class to watch them have some fun!! Valentine's Day is such a fun day!!

RAIN RAIN RAIN

We recieved more rain in two days than we recieved all of last year. Once the ground is saturated it floods pretty quickly. The kids had a great day playing in the pool in our back yard. It has rained so much this year. It has been more rain than most people remember here for a long, long, time.

Happy Birthday!!

Steve and the kids treated to a great birthday!! Steve and I went to Vegas that day and rode the New York New York roller coaster. Steve was such a great sport and we had some great laughs and got shook to death. He then took me shopping and to dinner. I love this man!!! We had a wonderful time and got home in time for basketball games. Sierra had a two day "craft project" of making a cake. Notice how beautiful this cake is. Sierra and her friend Kaitlee asked her mom to help them make a cake for me. Sierra asked colors and surprised me with this beautiful cake. Big thanks to Shanell, Kaitlee, and Sierra for making a beautiful cake. It was gorgeous and delicious. That night we made it home and did cake, ice cream and presents. Thank you to all those who thought of me and especially for my sweet family for making me feel so special.

Tyson & Honey

Tyson got to bring "Honey" home from preschool for a weekend. He had a great time. We took honey to ride Classy, had friends over, took him horse shoeing, out back to play, ride bikes, etc. He had a lot of fun telling about his weekend with Honey.

Drake's 5th grade Field Trip

Drake invited me to go on their 5th grade field trip. We had a fun time going to see the Las Vegas Philharmonic orchestra. They did a wonderful job keeping the kids entertained, teaching them about music and actually how much we use it. They played the themes to Star Wars, Harry Potter and more. Lots of fun!! Thanks for still loving me Drake and for wanting your old mom to come with you and hang with your friends even though you ditched me on the bus.

NEW YORK & CONNECTICUT

My sisters, parents, and I went to New York to help Dave and Tracie move to their new home in Connecticut. We were trying to surprise Tracie but you know how surprises go. We had a great time getting to play with Taylor, Drew, and Lana they are growing so fast. Friday and Saturday we had fun cleaning, packing, unpacking, organizing (ha, ha), going to dinner, shopping, and staying up late talking. Then Sunday we went to their new ward which was very excited to have new members. Then we headed to New York to do a little site seeing. The weather did not cooperate though and it rained the whole time. We did make some quick visits to see the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, Grand Central Station, do some shopping on Canal Street, and have some fun on the subway system. We had a great time hanging out reminiscing about the good old days and about the crazy days of today! Thanks for the fun memories and for having us in your home. It is beautiful and we can't wait to come and visit again. Thank you to Steve for holding the fort down and those others who helped out with the kiddos. Love ya!!
