Makenzie Ann Staheli

I seriously can't believe she is 5. It has gone by so fast.

Here are some words that I think describe Makenzie:

ACTIVE
SPIRITED
ADORABLE
DETERMINED
FUNNY
CUDDLY

We love you Makenzie. Happy Birthday!!

Happy 5th Birthday Makenzie!!!

Makenzie is 5 years old now. She had her first friend party and it was a lot of fun. We had about 25 kids so it was crazy. We had the water slide up and she wanted to play freeze dance and have a pinata so that is what we did. She has a lot of cute little friends and lots of great family. Thanks you all for helping her celebrate her birthday!! Happy Birthday Makenzie!! We love you!

May Day Dance

We had another great May day dance. The kids look foward to this every year and we have a great time watching and laughing. Sierra danced to "Move it, Move it". She was voted the best girl dancer for her class and got a big candy bar. She had the cutest shoulder bounces. Drake did an awesome square dance. He was all decked out and did a great job swinging his girl.

Sweet Sierra

Sierra is so fun!! She loves to leave us little notes and color pictures for everyone. This is her latest masterpiece. As I was putting her to bed she told me there was a surprise for us on the computer desk and a note on the back. She is so thoughtful. Thanks sis' we love you!!

Fun at the Lake

We had a great time at the lake. It was a beautiful day with a slight breeze. You would have thought it was going to be cold though because Merrill didn't even wear shorts. The kids just played and played on the beach. They found a lot of sea shells that Shane was very happy about taking home. The water was a little bit chilly but it didn't stop Drake from his first wake boarding of the year and the kids from riding the tube. I'll have to get those pictures from Shane. I was the nice driver. Shane was the mean driver and sunk Wendy, Shelley, Conner, Shaylee, Dallin, Sierra and Makenzie. Conner and Shaylee were even asleep and were rudely woke up by cold water. It was pretty funny though. Dallin, Makenzie and Wendy made their own little lake and had plenty of repairs to keep them busy. We can't wait to go again.

CLARK COUNTY FAIR

We had a great time at the fair this year!! Here are the highlights.
1. Steve and I split up and went with Drake and Sierra's school classes on Thursday. We had a lot of fun.
2. Watching the monkey show twice with all the Staheli, Adams and Hough cousins and grandma.
3. Watching Sierra sing beautifully with the choir.
4. Makenzie being scared to death in the safety house. There is a pretend fire and smoke and you have to find your way out. Isn't dad a fire fighter?
5. Riding all the rides with cousins and getting Drake to go on the zipper.
6. Watching the pig races a few times of course.
7. Funnel cakes and more funnel cakes but you have to get them at the right one and that is the expensive one.
8. Watching Sierra and Drake do the bungee jumping. Steve is the good picture taker.
9. Going to the rodeo with all the cousins and Sawyer and watching Steve and Grandpa win the team roping and get big belt buckles. Great job!!

GRANDPA, GRANDMA, & COUSINS!!

We had so much fun when Grandpa and Grandma came to visit. The kids were so excited to see them. Sierra's teacher says that she kept asking how much longer until school got out because her Grandpa and Grandma and cousins were coming and she was so excited. Drake and Sierra got to have them watch them play baseball and they were excited about that. Then we came home and just enjoyed the warm weather. We listened to conference and gave dad a lesson on TIVO (is that how it is spelled). It was a cool experience to be a part of the solemn assembly. We then put up the slide and had a little water fight. The kids were having a great time and of course so was grandpa!! He even tried to use grandma as a shield. It did end tragically as grandpa took a blow to the head from a bucket that Drake regrettably threw. I was busy getting after Drake and then we all looked over and grandpa had a lot of blood running down his head, face, and dripping all over. He got a pretty good cut to the head and so we had to try to fix with liquid band-aid because of his hair. It was pretty intense. Poor Drake is taking after the Draper side, play rough and hard until someone gets hurt. Well, then we headed up to St. George to watch Ashleigh dance at her competition. She did great and I wish I had a few pictures. They came down on Thursday night so the kids had a sleepover and then with them and missed school on Friday and went swimming to the Adams' pool with Aunt Shelley too. So we had all kinds of family visiting. After the dance competition we headed over to go bowling. Grandpa was the big winner and I don't think he used the bumpers to many times. We watched conference on Sunday and enjoyed playing conference bingo. We had a lot of fun this week. We love to have family visit. The kids get so excited. We love you all!!

IT'S A POTTY PARTY

HURRAY!! Tyson finally decided to be a big boy. Chucky Cheese was a great motivator and also letting him go outside. It has carried over to public places though as you can see in the pictures. This was during spring break and the kids were so excited to go. We all had a great time. We did forget the camera but Steve ran to WalMart and got a disposable one. Thanks for the great pictures Steve!! Tyson great job!! We had a lot of fun celebrating with you.
